 Albuquerque 48 Hour Writing Marathon

Not a Pipe Publishing is excited to announce the first Albuquerque 48 Hour Writing Marathon. Modeled on the 48 Hour Film Festivals in cities across the country, writers will arrive at the Strange Flock Gallery (609 Gold Ave. SW) before 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 26th. At precisely 7:00 p.m., organizers Taliyah St. James and Benjamin Gorman will reveal the prompt and guidelines. The authors will have 48 hours to write a short story or narrative poem. They may write at the gallery, at home, or anywhere else they prefer, but they must return to Strange Flock to submit their piece by 7:00 p.m. on Sunday the 28th. (The event will be followed by an after-party, location TBD.) From the submissions, Mx. St. James and Mr. Gorman will select the best pieces for an anthology which will be published by Not a Pipe Publishing. Authors may work individually or in teams (including credits authors, editors, and even artists), but each participant must register. In addition to the possibility of publication, every registrant will receive a printed copy of the anthology by mail, and will have a chance to receive prizes from sponsors in a number of categories. Use the form below to register. Then help spread the word, and let’s make this the most successful launch of this fantastic event we possibly can!
